· Your plants are guaranteed to be free from pests and disease upon installation. We use disease and pest resistant plant varieties whenever available and applicable.

· Be observant of changes in plant vigor and growth. Plants are more susceptible to disease and pests if they are weakened through poor maintenance practices such as over or under watering. It is good to make it a practice to walk your landscape and observe your plants’ progress so you can spot symptoms and signs of disease or insect infestations well in advance of any serious problems.

Some common pests found in Ohio are:

Billbugs

These pests are beetles with long snouts or bills that prefer to feed on grass; leaving holes in the grass blades and laying their eggs there as well. The billbug larvae further damage the grass and can kill the plant; leading to brown spots on your lawn.

Japanese Beetles & Grubs

The Japanese beetles lay their eggs in the the ground soil. When the eggs hatch, the larvae feed on the soft, tender plant roots in your lawn causing dead areas.

Cutworms

These pests are particularly harmful in highly turfed areas such as golf courses. They feed on several kinds of grass such as Bentgrass and Kentucky Bluegrass; damaging the plants and causing spotting in the lawn.
